…What Boys and Girls Clubs are doing next week during the first week of the school strike.
I’ve spent a lot of time over the past 2 weeks fielding calls and inquiries about how BGC is responding to the likelihood that kids won’t be going back to school next week. So, I thought it might of interest to you as well.
At Boys and Girls Clubs, we know that the issues facing teachers and the government are complex. We’re not taking sides, and we’re confident that they’ll work it out. We are also very clear about the fact that what we can do to help is to make sure that kids aren’t left alone and unsupervised while they figure things out. Is that easy? Nope. Is it costly? Yes. Most importantly, is it the right thing to do? Absolutely!
So, while this September is shaping up differently than most, BGC is doing what we do best: being there for amazing kids and families.
