As we crash into this Thanksgiving long weekend (where did September go… never mind summer?!?!), Boys and Girls Clubs is definitely thankful!
At last week’s Club House Gala, we were overwhelmed by how people responded to our call for support. Not only did we raise every penny we need to replace the wharf at Camp Potlatch, but a ton of money for running Clubs and Camp. In the end, we raised $350,000 (net) which is double last year’s great result.
People keep asking if we’re surprised. We’re not surprised that people are generous. We’re not surprised that people believe in kids as much as we do! We’re thankful that it all came together in one inspiring night for all of us! And, of course, we’re thankful to each and every person who chose to give.
We’re hoping to extend that inspiration right through the end of this, our 80th year, so stay tuned for more reasons that #BGCMatters! And, in the meantime, if you’re also feeling thankful, feel free to click here to make a gift that will support one or a ton of amazing kids.
