Marc Couture, Camp Director – [email protected]
Marc has been the Director of Camp Potlatch since 2009, having previously overseen operations at accredited summer camps in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Camping is a part of who Marc is and he has over 20 years of experience to back it up. Marc’s life has drastically changed during his time as Camp Director – he started out a lone wolf in a new camp but quickly got married, purchased a home and welcomed his first born son, Russell, who has been spotted around Camp Potlatch a little bit over the past couple of years. You can expect to see much more of Russell and Marc Jr (due this spring!) around Potlatch in 2017!
Kiki Kirkpatrick, Camp Manager – [email protected]
New to Camp Potlatch in 2017, Kiki is an outdoor enthusiast with experience working and participating in summer camps and outdoor education centres across Ontario. Kiki’s role at camp potlatch is to work with each rental group individually to ensure they have an experience that is specifically tailored to meet their desired needs of their trip to Camp Potlatch. Kiki primarily oversees the spring and fall rental seasons, while providing leadership and support to Katie and Marc in the summer season. Kiki feels most at home when living in her tent and in her free time can be found knitting a new pair of socks or exploring the amazing nature that BC has to offer!
Katie Ellison, Summer Camp Coordinator – [email protected]
Now in her second year with Camp Potlatch, Katie is a camping professional with over a decade of experience in a variety of Ontario-based summer camps. Her role is to oversee the day to day operations of Camp Potlatch during our incredible summer camp program, providing support to both campers and staff. Katie brings a strong background in Girl Guides camping from Ontario, where she led programs that developed self-esteem, supported personal development and empowered young girls to grow into strong women. In her free time, Katie can be found catching up on all the sports highlights and Toronto Raptors games she can!
Ashley McGuire, Camp Registrar – [email protected]
Ashley oversees the online, telephone and in-person registration of over 1000 campers each year. She is available to answer registration specific questions, discuss subsidized camp fees and help ensure your children can attend Camp Potlatch each summer. A former Hillside Boys and Girls Clubs activity leader and summer programmer, Ashley has a vast understanding of the diverse backgrounds our campers may come from and treats every registration with great attention. In her free time – Ashley likes to spend time outside with friends and family, following the Canucks (better luck next year!) and blasting some good old country music.
