Hi there,
Maybe it was the Friday night (first time ever), or the change of season, or maybe it’s just that it was a room full of old and new friends of BGC, but the 2019 Club House Gala was our best yet. Perry Solkowski, Fred Lee, and Erica Sigurdson, our “A-Team”, brought their best… their best funny, talent, and real commitment to BGC. There were a lot of laughs, some tears (yes, we saw them… and we don’t blame you), and a TON of generosity fueled by the shared desire in the room for kids to get everything they need to grow up well. Because, after all, while we believe that every kid IS amazing, the reality is that their needs for help are often intangible, hidden, and intensely personal, and there’s nobody better to bring that unique kind of support than Boys and Girls Clubs of South Coast BC.
So, whether you were able to be with us last Friday night at the Club House Gala or not, we want you to know that the fact that we have friends with such big hearts means everything to us. In the end, we raised more than $350,000 (net… yes, AFTER all the expenses) that we’ll use to support every one of our amazing kids to get just what they need… a sense of belonging and connection… in whatever way it works for them to receive it.
