As you might have noticed, the holidays are upon us. If you happened to read my last message, you’ll know that at Boys and Girls Clubs we’re focused on giving our amazing kids and families what they need, in a way that always protects their dignity.
I think for many of us the concept of “giving while protecting people’s dignity” might be a little vague. Well, in simple terms, it starts with how we see the kids we serve: we know they are amazing. Straight up… always… amazing. For those of you who have kids, or were one at some point, you might not believe us. But, I can assure you that after more than 80 years, Boys and Girls Clubs know that the amazingness of kids (and, of course, youth and families) is right there – if we’re willing to look for it. So, that’s what we do, no matter how hard we have to try, because we know that unleashing each kids’ amazingness is all about unleashing possibility!

This happens every day at the Boys and Girls Clubs, for thousands of kids. I, personally, remember the first time someone saw something amazing in me, and it was a game changer.
