Did you know that amid the stories and theories and legends about the origins of Valentine’s Day, is one common element: all of the theories suggest that “Valentine”, of whom there seem to have been more than one, had altruistic intentions, and met with their end as a result. How sad, considering that now, February 14th honours their legacies.
So what does this have to do with Boys and Girls Clubs? Well, we’ve missed you! And, like St. Valentine, you’ve been kind and caring to us in the past. We couldn’t help but notice that you took a break from us in 2017, and so we wanted to let you know that you were missed! Our amazing kids and families, all 12,000 of them, showed up in droves last year, and are on track to do the same again in 2018. We can only do what we do – provide them with a sense of belonging, and all of the great things that they need to grow up well, with the support of our friends like you.
In honour of our old pal, St. Valentine, I hope you might consider showing us the love again this year. Click here to learn how much of a difference it will make!
